In addition to the action and spy storyline, the films of the “007” franchise have also become very popular for featuring beautiful women called “Bond girls”.

In “Quantum of Solace”, actress Gemma Arterton (“Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time”), performer for Agent Fields, won the title.

However, the star revealed to The Sun that she regretted playing the character and only accepted the job because she needed the money.

“At the start of my career, I was very poor and needed to work. He needed the money. I am always criticized for playing ‘007: Quantum of Solace’ … But I was only 21 and had to pay my student loan. Which one is? It was a James Bond movie.

She also said that her main regret relates to the way her character was treated as a mere sex object.

Enjoy watching:

“Over the years, I gained more experience and realized that there were a lot of issues with the women in the franchise, it’s sex objects. Watching the movie again, I realize that my character should have refused to identify with him [James Bond]. “

Recalling that the next film in the franchise is ‘007 – No Time to Die’, which marks Daniel Craig’s farewell as an iconic spy.

Recently, actress Lashana Lynch brought up the subject of “ Bond girls ” and assured Tech Radar that the female characters in the feature film would receive due respect.

“I think with the current women’s agency, she represents women as they would like to see themselves, being completely authentic and smug. “007 – No time to die has a lot”. You see the authenticity come down to the characters, the ones that already exist in the franchise and the newcomers like me. These are not damsels in distress or eye drops for men. This film will pay homage to them, because there is an emancipation that I have never seen in the films [da franquia]. I think this is a great example for the younger generations.

According to Variety, MGM and EON Productions are still debating whether to reschedule the sequel’s debut in theaters or sell it to a streaming service.

For now, the premiere is still scheduled for April 2021, but as cases of COVID-19 continue to grow around the world, studios are concerned about launching the blockbuster and not finding audiences in theaters.

According to the website, the film’s target audience is older – and it is precisely this age group that is most afraid of returning to the cinema in the midst of a pandemic.

MGM plans to sell the film to a streaming service for more than $ 600 million.

Netflix and Apple are among the services interested in purchasing the film, but found the price too high. The film was originally scheduled to open in April, but has delayed the film’s release on several occasions due to the coronavirus pandemic. The report says the delays cost the studio between $ 30 million and $ 50 million.

The film is scheduled to open on April 2, 2021.

At 163 minutes (2 hours and 43 minutes), it’s the longest iteration in the entire franchise.

In the plot, the British secret agent leads a peaceful life in Jamaica, having left active service. However, his peace is over, as a new mission is given to him.

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga (Beasts of No Nation and True Detective), ‘007 – No Time to Die’ also brings the return of Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw and Jeffrey Wright to the cast and still presents. Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, David Dencik, Lashana Lynch, Billy Magnussen and Rami Malek.
