10,000 fans closed the private sessions of ‘Godzilla vs. Kong ‘in the USA

“Godzilla vs. Kong” opens tomorrow in the United States and is heading for a massive opening, with theaters reopening in New York City and several other states.

The deadline revealed that fans had booked more than 10,000 private screenings across the country, surpassing the previous record set by “ Wonder Woman 1984 ”. The monster movie will also have help from Regal Cinemas. The movie chain has struck a deal with Warner Bros. to reopen theaters selected for the “Godzilla vs Kong” sessions, as well as “Mortal Kombat”.

The film is expected to open between $ 20 million and $ 30 million in the first five days in the United States.

Elsewhere in the world, the film has already grossed $ 121.8 million, giving Hollywood hope that the tents can return as theaters reopen.

Christopher Nolan’s “ Tenet ” already had the biggest box office start of the pandemic, with $ 53 million.

The film had a particularly strong roar in China, where it grossed a whopping $ 70.3 million.

Speaking of which, reviews for the film have been made public by the US press and the film received 79% approval on Rotten Tomatoes – making it the highest rated Monsterverse film.

With 29 reviews posted, the film scored 6.3 out of 10. There were 26 positive reviews and six negative reviews. This is the highest rating for a Monsterverse movie.

The first film in the saga, “Godzilla” (2014), is the second highest rated – with 76% approval on RT. In third place comes “ Kong: Ilha da Caveira ” (2017) – with 75% approval in RT.

Fourth and with the worst rating comes “ Godzilla II: King of the Monsters ” (2019), with just 42% approval in RT.
