2021 Grammy Awards ceremony postponed to March

The Academy of Phonographic Arts announced today (05) that the 2021 Grammy Awards ceremony has been postponed by a month and a half due to security measures decided by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 63rd handover will now take place on Sunday March 14, 2021 instead of the previous date, January 31.

According to an official statement, “After thoughtful discussions with health experts, our host, and the artists scheduled to appear, we are postponing the 63rd Grammy Awards on March 14, 2021. The deteriorating condition of COVID-19 to Los Angeles, with overflowing hospital wards, intensive care units reaching capacity and new health guides from local and state governments led us to conclude that postponing the show was the right thing to do. ”
