“A Jornada de Vivo”: Netflix Animation with Lin-Manuel Miranda Wins Official Music Video and Release Date

Netflix today released (22) a new music video titled “The Journey of Alive” (“VIVO”), an original animation starring none other than the multiple winner Tony Lin-Manuel Miranda (“Hamilton”, “Mary’s Returns Poppins ”).

The video announces the feature film’s premiere on the platform: August 6.

The film is co-directed by Kirk DeMicco (‘The Croods’) and Brandon Jeffords (‘It’s Raining Hamburger’). DeMicco also signs the screenplay alongside Quiara Alegría Hudes.

Miranda is responsible for the original songs of the film, Alex Lacamoire taking care of the soundtrack.

The animated musical revolves around Vivo, a unique kinkajou (ie a tropical “honey bear”) who must find his way from Havana to Miami to deliver a song in the name of his owner and mentor. -loved, Andres. ‘VIVO’ is a passionate story about courage, family and the belief that music opens doors to new worlds.
