The long-awaited sequel ‘A Quiet Place – Part II’ has once again been postponed by Paramount Pictures.

Originally scheduled to hit theaters on March 19, 2023, production had to be relocated in September of the same year, due to the worsening coronavirus pandemic.

However, the global context prevented the reopening of theaters in the United States and in various regions of the world, resulting in a further postponement, until April 2023.

And now Paramount has been forced to change the release date of the feature again, following the same lead as other studios. “A Quiet Place – Part II” premiered on the big screen on September 17 in the United States.

` A Quiet Place – Part II ” is one of the most anticipated films of the year, especially given the overwhelming critical and box office success that the franchise’s first chapter launched in 2018.

And for director and actor John Krasinski, the sequel managed to surpass the quality of the first film, becoming even better than it.

The information was shared by him during an interview with THR, during the red carpet for the production’s premiere. According to Krasinski, he himself didn’t expect to develop a sequel, but he was impressed with the outcome.

Said:

“I said I would never do a sequel. Nothing could be more personal or so organic to me than the first feature film and, in the end, I think I like this film better than the previous one ”.

The MPA (Motion Picture Association of America) has confirmed that the footage will have the same indicative rating as the previous iteration: PG-13 (for over 13s), due to “terror, violence and disturbing, bloody footage” .

John Krasinski drives. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the sequel should answer a few questions about the origin of the creatures and how the apocalyptic events unfolded.

The new film will feature the return of Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, in addition to introducing newcomers Djimon Hounsou and Cillian Murphy.
