In 2005, Liam Neeson participated in “Batman Begins” as a performer for Ra’s al Ghul, the leader of the Shadow League and master of Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale).

And despite the respect he’s earned from fans, the star told Variety that he no longer wanted to participate in superhero movies for a very specific reason.

When asked if he’d like to work on a new DC or Marvel movie, Neeson got right to the point:

“I’ll be honest with you, I’m not a huge fan of superhero movies. I’ve even watched one or the other and admire Hollywood for all the tech upgrades the studios have developed, but I’m not at all comfortable spending hours at the gym everyday to don. a rubber suit and a cape.

Previously, the star had told Comic Book that he also had no interest in reprising his role as Qui-Gon Jinn, the Jedi Master murdered by Darth Maul (Ray Park) in ‘Star Wars: The Phantom Menace’. ‘.

Enjoy watching:

“I know actors who reprized their roles in the saga and I admire them a lot, because they did it in a fantastic way, but I’m not ready to go back to the saga. I participated in “Star Wars” 22 years ago and I loved it, it was brand new… I was playing with tennis balls that would be aliens, it was very funny and interesting. It was good for the imagination, but it was also very tiring, I can’t do it again.

Soon the actor will be on “The Marksman”.
