In an interview with Collider, Sigourney Weaver, who plays the iconic Ellen Ripley, was asked about her favorite movie in the “ Alien ” franchise. Unsurprisingly, the actress chose the second film, “Aliens: The Rescue”, which is considered by most to be the best of the saga.

“Wow, this is difficult. The best-constructed story for the character was in “Aliens – The Rescue”. Jim [Cameron] has an incredible sense of narrative construction. Take this character out of hyper-sleep, don’t make anyone believe her and leave her exiled in this limbo with no credibility and find out that her family is dead. This is the structure of Ripley’s plot in ‘Aliens’, so she ends up finding a new family.

She adds: “The whole structure of this story was great. It was an incredible arc for the character. In this second, the second film is the most satisfying for Ripley.

Keep in mind that ‘Aliens: Fireteam’, a new game based on the franchise, will be released on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox in mid-2021.

Check out the trailer:

The game, which will feature original characters (Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doc and Recon), will take place in third person with three players as soldiers facing the threat of the Xenomorphs.

The plot will take place 23 years after the events of ‘Alien 3’, in a world where the existence of Aliens is no longer a secret. Players must find infested sites to eradicate the beehive and its monstrosities.

Enjoy watching:

The game will have four campaigns, with three main missions. Each campaign will take place in a different location strongly inspired by the world of cinema.

Cold Iron Studios has promised 20 different enemy types, including 11 variants of Xenomorph. Some of these variations will only be found in certain campaigns with a mix of classic models, like the Queen, and newer types, like the Bursters, which are basically acid pumps.
