‘Alita: Battle Angel’ could become a series on Disney +

“ Alita: Battle Angel ” is considered a cult classic for many fans who attended the live-action adaptation of the animated franchise and continue to campaign for the film to win its sequel.

Launched in February 2019, the adaptation recorded a median box office ($ 404.9 million), prompting Fox to step down from a sequel.

Now, according to the British Small Screen, Walt Disney Studios is planning a series that will be a prequel to the events of the film and is expected to be streamed on Disney +.

The website says the studio made the decision after pressure from fans on social media.

This is the second series to which Disney gives the green light on the basis of a property acquired after the acquisition of Fox, the first is “Percy Jackson”, which will have five seasons.

Recently, fans of the feature film created a petition on Change.org asking for a new movie, making sure the story has a large fan base.

And, oddly enough, the document has already registered more than 166,000 signatures.

As justification, the author says that:

“The film was made to generate footage and has a large fan base, such as readers of the manga and audiences who knew the story of the adaptation. So there is a good reason to develop new films.

To further appreciate it, producer Jon Landau posted an image indicating the sequel may be on its way.
