‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’: Kathryn Newton will be Cassie Lang’s third performer

Walt Disney Co. has brought good news to MCU fans, and the long-awaited sequel “ Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ” has added another new member to its cast.

The character Cassie Lang, daughter of protagonist Scott Lang, will now have a new performer. As Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed on Investor Day, actress Kathryn Newton will take on the role.

This is the third time the character has been rescheduled. Cassie Lang’s most recent performer was actress Emma Fuhrmann.

Feige also announced that famous actor Jonathan Majors will bring the villainous Kang the Conqueror to life.

Kang carries a bow of extreme importance to the Marvel pantheon and could be the next big threat in theaters after Thanos.

Michelle Pfeiffer will reprise her role as Janet Van Dyne.

The sequel is written by Jeff Loveness (“Rick and Morty”), which is slated to launch in 2022. Peyton Reed returns to direct.

Paul Rudd will play Scott Lang / Ant-Man again. Evangeline Lilly returns as Hope Van Dyne / Vespa.

Together, the two films in the franchise have grossed Marvel Studios over $ 1 billion.
