‘As Agents 355’: Action with Jessica Chastain and Lupita Nyong’o is BASED by critics

The action “Agents 355”, starring Jessica Chastain, Lupita Nyong’o and Diane Kruger, promised to be one of the big movies of 2022 – but it looks like the production fell short of expectations.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the feature only got a 23% approval rating, with a 4.40 / 10 rating based on 23 reviews to date. By general consensus, the film “has a stellar cast and is conceptually progressive, but wastes everything on a forgettable story told in an unforgettable way.”

Simon Kinberg, screenwriter of ‘X-Men: Black Phoenix’, is responsible for directing.

When a top secret weapon falls into the hands of a group of mercenaries threatening the world, CIA agent Mace Brown (Jessica Chastain) must join forces on a deadly mission with German agent Marie (Diane Kruger) ; former MI6 member, computer scientist, Khadijah (Lupita Nyong’o); psychologist Graciela (Penelope Cruz) and Lin Mi Sheng (Bingbing Fan), a mysterious woman who follows her every move. Full of adrenaline, ‘As Agentes 355’ features countless action scenes from around the world, from Parisian cafes and Moroccan markets to the wealth and glamor of Shanghai.

In addition to the five protagonists, the film also stars Sebastian Stan (“Avengers: Endgame”) and Edgar Ramírez (“The Girl on the Train”).
