After making four Marvel Studios films, including “ Avengers: Endgame, ” brothers Anthony and Joe Russo have confirmed that they still intend to revisit the genre.
During an interview for the comic, the duo were asked if they wanted to adapt a DC Comics comic book for the big screen, to which Anthony responded:
“Someday, for sure, we’ll make a superhero movie again. Probably in the not too distant future. We can’t say with whom at the moment, but yes, we like to question ourselves, we like to find new borders. The path we take is an eternal surprise and, hopefully, it will be a surprise to the public.
Apparently, it looks like the filmmakers already have a project going on, given that Anthony said he “ still ” couldn’t talk about it.
They also said they love experimenting with new styles and risking a job in productions with varying budgets as it increases creativity.
“Joe and I love making movies at all scales. We made films with the minimum amount of money you could make and it’s great for creativity. We also work on productions where you earn the most money and it’s a different structure because you have everything you need at your disposal. We love everything between these movies.
Remembering that your next film is the crime thriller “Cherry”.
Based on the eponymous novel by Nico Walker, the plot follows a former army doctor (Holland) who suffers from post-traumatic stress upon his return from Iraq. Trying to cope with the illness, he begins robbing banks to support his drug addiction.
The filmmakers have announced that the premiere is scheduled for February 26 in North American theaters and March 12 in the Apple TV + catalog.
