‘Batman’: Warner confirms his films will hit theaters EXCLUSIVELY in 2022

Warner Bros. he took everyone by surprise by announcing that his 2021 films would be simultaneously streaming on HBO Max.

With the success of ‘Godzilla vs. Kong ‘at the box office, Warner decided to calm the exhibitors down and revealed that in 2022 their films will be released in theaters EXCLUSIVELY.

Jason Kilar, CEO of WarnerMedia, revealed the studio plan to Vox:

“I think it’s very fair that I’m already saying that a great DC movie will be released exclusively in theaters and it is only after a while that it will be released on HBO Max,” he said. .

The executive is referring to the release of “ Batman, ” which won’t hit theaters until March 4, 2022.

According to Walter Hamada, the director of DC films, “The Batman” will be set in another Earth and not be part of the DCEU.

“In the multiverse, there is an Earth with the version of Justice League with Gal [Gadot], Jason [Momoa] and Ezra [Miller], and another with Pattinson’s Batman ”.

Therefore, franchises will not have a crossover and will follow different paths.
