Before Ben Affleck gave up his role as Bruce Wayne in DCEU, he was preparing to direct a solo Batman movie. However, the idea was ultimately rejected when Affleck decided to drop the role after appalling reviews and audience reactions to Joss Whedon’s “Justice League”.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Affleck explained why he dropped out of the project in 2017.
“I watched the Batman movie I was going to direct and thought, I won’t be happy doing this. Whoever made the film must have loved it. I would have loved to do it when I was about 32, but it passed. And then I realized it wasn’t worth the sacrifice, ”he said.
DC and Zack Snyder fans continue to push Warner to follow the films heralded for Snyderverse and recently launched a new campaign.

When reporter Scott Mendelson hinted that Affleck had given up on the idea for lack of love for the character, illustrator Jay Oliva came up for the star.
Responsible for “Justice League” storyboards, Oliva replied to a tweet from Mendelson that the Affleck-led adaptation would make fans proud.
To verify:
“All that multiverse and parallel realities stuff in the DC movies is because ‘Batman vs Superman’ messed it up. So much so that Ben Affleck didn’t want to be Batman anymore and they had to take a step back to make a Batman movie in another universe, ”Mendelson said.
To which Oliva replied:
“Scott, am I curious where you got this information from?” Did Ben tell you? Because I personally worked with him before he left the project and I never saw him lose interest in Batman. His solo film would be the pride of the fans.
How would you like Warner to do Ben Affleck’s Batman?
