‘Black Adam’: Dwayne Johnson movie announced to premiere in Times Square

Black Adam, ” a DC film starring Dwayne Johnson, had its release date epically revealed in Times Square.

Johnson posted a video on Instagram showing the film’s logo taking over Times Square in New York City and revealing that the film opens on July 29, 2022.

Johnson plays the titular character. The cast is also formed by Aldis Hodge (Gavião Negro), Quintessa Swindell (Cyclone), Noah Centineo (Atom Crush), Pierce Brosnan (Doctor Destino).

Marwen Kenzari and Sarah Shahi were also cast, but details of their roles have not been revealed.

While information about the tale remains withheld, fans already know that Black Adam is the primary antagonist for the hero known as Shazam. In modern times, however, the character has evolved into an extremely complex and troubled antihero – becoming one of the most important creations in DC’s pantheon.

Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (‘Águas Rasas’), the film will take place in the same universe as ‘Shazam!’.
