During an interview with Total Film, Scarlett Johansson revealed that she had no idea Black Widow’s farewell to the movies would be so stressful.

The star admitted that she and the creative team were having a big headache trying to come up with the right story for the heroine’s solo film.

As the character won the hearts of fans, the writers had to do something that wouldn’t tarnish his image, especially after his sacrifice in “Avengers: Ultimatum.”

“This film gave us the opportunity to really show her outside of her comfort zone. Everything was therefore possible. At the same time, we couldn’t escape the proposition created during these 10 years of the MCU. “

She continued:

“Finding the right story was extremely stressful at first as we had to chart its entire trajectory without spoiling the reputation it created with the fans. There was also no specific story that we wanted to build on, but once we got through those phases the feeling of ‘it’s over’ and I just wanted to go back to the beginning. “

Recalling that ‘Black Widow’ opens on July 8 in theaters simultaneously with the release on Disney + via Premier Access, priced at R $ 69.60.

In the spy thriller, Natasha Romanoff confronts the darker aspects of her rationality when a dangerous plot linked to her past emerges. Pursued by a force that will not stop until it destroys it, Natasha must come to terms with her spy story and the broken relationships left after becoming an Avenger.

In addition to Scarlett Johansson in the lead role, the cast includes David Harbor, Rachel Weisz, Florence Pugh and OT Fagbenle.

The production is directed by Cate Shortland, from a screenplay by Jac Schaeffer.
