Breaking Bad: Giancarlo Esposito wants to play in the spin-off on the rise of Gus Fring

As well as bringing villainous Moff Gideon to life in ‘The Mandalorian,’ Giancarlo Esposito has won a huge legion of fans playing Gus Fring, running a drug cartel in ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call. Saul ”.

Despite undeniable importance in ‘Breaking Bad’, Fring has been little explored and remains one of the most mysterious characters in the series.

As a result, Esposito told Esquire that he would love to star in a spin-off giving more details about the dreaded drug dealer, such as his own origin.

“Better Call Saul” is coming to an end and I have come up with a story to show how Gus came to royalty. [do tráfico de drogas. Eu sinto que Gus não era um delinquente, ele veio do mundo da ordem e da lei. Talvez ele era um militar, que passou a entender como o mundo do crime pode ser lucrativo.”

“In my mind, he was at the top of a military government. He could have stayed there and ruled the country, but he chose a different path to possess himself and find his own power, no matter what life he previously led. That’s what he chose. “

The statement makes perfect sense, since his rival, Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis), implies that Fring was a general in Augusto Pinochet’s army by calling him a “generalissimo”.

If the idea comes to fruition, the series should begin in the 1970s or 1980s, as DEA agent Hank Schrader (Dean Norris) only discovered Fring in 1986, when he left Mexico for the United States.

Before that, all that is known is that he was a Chilean immigrant.

So what do you think of the idea?

Recalling that the 6th and final season of ‘Better Call Saul’ is scheduled for the North American fall of 2021 (between September and December).

“Better Call Saul” is a prequel to the critically acclaimed and award-winning “Breaking Bad” series, in which creator Vince Gilligan and writer / producer Peter Gould co-host the first season.

The story takes place six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) meets Walter White. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul is known as Jimmy McGill, a little lawyer on his fate and running to pay his expenses. Fixer Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character first introduced in Breaking Bad, works with and often against Jimmy. The new series will show Jimmy’s transformation into a man who turns the criminal word into “criminal lawyer.”
