According to Deadline, filming for Season 2 of “Bridgerton” has been interrupted indefinitely after a new crew member tested positive for COVID.

This is the second positive test for the virus in less than a week.

Production of the new round will remain on hiatus until producers are able to ensure the safety of those involved behind the scenes of the recordings. Although it has not been revealed who contracted the virus, the site claims the individual is already isolated.

Currently, the UK has suffered from contamination with the Delta variant of the virus.

It should be remembered that Season 2 will bring four new names to the cast: Charithra Chandran (“Alex Rider”), Shelley Conn (“Liar”), Calam Lynch (“Black Beauty”), Rupert Evans (“Charmed”) and Rupert Young (‘Dear Evan Hanson’).

Based on the novels of author Julia Quinn, the series was created by Chris Van Dusen.
