‘Bullet Train’: Zazie Beetz joins the cast of Deapool 2 director’s action flick

According to Deadline, Zazie Beetz was cast in the upcoming action film ‘Bullet Train’, directed by David Leitch. The two worked together on “Deadpool 2.”

Beetz will have a supporting role to be revealed and joins Brad Pitt, Joey King, Andrew Koji and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Recalling that Pitt (“Once upon a time … in Hollywood”) will be the protagonist of the plot, playing the role of a legendary and feared assassin.

Written by Zak Olkewicz (“Rua do Medo”), the feature film is based on the novel “Maria Beetle” by Kotaro Isaka and focuses on a group of assassins who are on board the same train. .

In the plot, five assassins end up on a high-speed train moving from Tokyo to Morioka, with only a few stops on the journey. They discover that their missions are unrelated, but the question is: who can get off the train alive and what awaits them at the final station?

Since the announcement, the film has been compared to productions such as “No Scales” and “Maximum Speed”.

The idea is for ‘Bullet Train’ to start filming in the fall of this year, despite studio health restrictions on the novel coronavirus pandemic. However, no further information has been released.

Leitch also enters as a producer alongside Kelly McCormick, Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick. Sony Pictures enters as a distributor.

Leitch is no stranger to the action genre, as he’s known for leading projects like “Deadpool 2”, “Atomic” and the famous “John Wick” franchise. His next work includes “Deadpool 3”, the thriller “Nobody” and the action “Kate” (the latter two already in post-production).
