‘Cherry’: police thriller from ‘Avengers: Endgame’ directors gets first official images

Since the announcement of the crime thriller ‘Cherry’, audiences have been curious to hear about the new partnership between Tom Holland and directors Anthony and Joe Russo (‘Avengers: Endgame’).

In the plot, Holland will be a former army medic who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder upon his return from Iraq. Trying to cope with the illness, he begins robbing banks to support his drug addiction.

In its latest edition, Vanity Fair magazine published the first images of the feature film, highlighting the characters of Holland and Ciara Bravo.

Joe has spoken to the comic before and praised Holland’s performance, saying the star deserves an Oscar nomination.

“I think it’s an Oscar-worthy performance. I think he is just amazing. It’s a breathtaking performance. What he is doing emotionally and physically is incredible ”.

Recalling that Apple Original Films bought the worldwide screening rights for the film for 40 million US dollars.

The film is expected to be streamed on Apple TV + in early 2021, with the goal of winning the Oscar and Golden Globe season.

With a screenplay signed by Jessica Goldberg, the project is based on the novel “Exit West” by Nico Walker.

In addition to Holland and Bravo, the cast includes Bill Skarsgard, Forrest Goodluck, Jeffrey Wahlberg, Michael Gandolfini, and Kyle Harvey.
