In an interview with The Independent, Tom Holland (‘Spider-Man‘) revealed that he had to undergo a brutal transformation to star in the movie ‘Cherry’, even losing 12 pounds.

Additionally, the actor revealed that the trial had made him very ill and that he would not do something like this again.

“It wasn’t until ten weeks before the shoot that I realized what I was getting myself into and what I had to do to become the role. I spoke to my trainer, George Ashwell, and he said to me, “You can only eat 500 calories a day and you have to run 10 miles”. It was brutal. I got really sick, actually. I ended up completely changing my relationship with food. I think it would be very difficult to find a role that would require this type of abuse on my body again.

He adds, “[O papel] took me to dark places, emotionally and physically. I would never do that again, for anyone. Glad I did, but it’s a door that’s now closed and locked. ”

The feature will be released on March 12 in the Apple TV + catalog.
