Each season of ‘Cobra Kai’ brought back at least one or two essential characters from the ‘Karate Kid’ franchise to help tell the story of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka).
Among them, Kreese (Martin Kove), Ali Mills (Elisabeth Shue), Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), Chozen (Yuji Okumoto) and a few others made appearances throughout the episodes.
And now fans are asking when Julie Pierce (Hilary Swank) will debut in “Cobra Kai”.
For those who don’t remember, Pierce was the star of the 4th ‘Karate Kid’, becoming a pupil of Master Miyagi (Pat Morita), as well as Daniel.
During an interview with Fandom, co-creator and executive producer Jon Hurwitz was asked about it.
While he made the possibility a mystery, he garnered praise for Swank and his character, indicating a good sign.
Enjoy watching:
“All we can say about Julie Pierce is that we love Hilary Swank. We think she is a phenomenal actress and we love her character in this franchise. She was taught by Mr. Miyagi and c ‘is someone who is important to the’ Karate Kid ‘universe We cannot say if she will return… And if she does, we cannot say how she will return.
He continued:
“Maybe we talked about her, maybe not. We may or may not work with it. The truth is, we can’t tell you anything! This will remain a mystery until she appears or until the series ends without her.
This is not the first time that the filmmaker broaches the subject … In 2020, he had already commented on the idea in an interview with Cinemabled.
At the time, he said that:
“From the start, we’ve always envisioned the series as a legacy of Miyagi’s lessons. Anything related to it can be introduced sooner or later. “Karate Kid 4” is part of that legacy… The chemistry between Morita and Swank is the best thing about the movie, so it would be interesting to see how it relates to Macchio and the others.
Remember that season 4 is now available on Netflix.
