Special features the return of Will Smith (Will), Tatyana Ali (Ashley), Karyn Parsons (Hilary), Joseph Marcell (Geoffrey), Daphne Maxwell Reid (Aunt Viv 2), DJ Jazzy Jeff (Jazz) and Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton) ). Sadly, James Avery – who played Patriarch Philip Banks – passed away in 2013.

It should be remembered that a reboot of “Crazy in the Piece” is in development.
The new show will have a more dramatic streak and will feature Morgan Cooper and Smith overseeing the production. Cooper enters as screenwriter, director and executive co-producer.
The project has been on paper for over a year. Now Peacock, HBO Max and Netflix are vying for the rights to broadcast the reboot.
The original series aired on NBC between 1990 and 1996, with no less than 148 episodes. The success helped build on Smith’s career and also brought in the cast Alfonso Ribeiro, Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Daphne Maxwell Reid, Joseph Marcell, DJ Jazzy Jeff and James Avery (the latter having passed away in 2013).
In Brazil, the series was presented by SBT.
