According to ComicBook, actor Charlie Cox – who played ‘Daredevil’ in the Marvel series – actually filmed scenes for ‘Spider-Man 3′.

The site claims Cox has been on set for the past few weeks and has already filmed his scenes.

However, it is not known whether or not he will play the same version of his character Matt Murdock / Daredevil that fans have known from different seasons of the Marvel series, or be introduced as a new character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Cox brought the character to life in the canceled Netflix series in 2018, and many fans have asked for the hero to be saved in the MCU.

It should be remembered that the return of Alfred Molina (Dr Octopus), Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker) and Kirsten Dunst (Mary Jane Watson) has also been confirmed.

The film is set to follow Peter Parker’s new battle after being publicly exposed by J. Jonah Jameson at the end of ‘Spider-Man: Away from Home‘.

The sequel’s debut is still scheduled for December 17, 2021, but it’s possible that with the postponement of production, the launch could be affected.

In addition to Tom Holland’s return as the titular character, Zendaya will reprise his role as MJ. And it’s very likely that a large chunk of the cast will return as well, including Marisa Tomei and Jacob Batalon.

Recalling that Amy Pascal will act as producer of the sequence alongside Kevin Feige, representing Sony and Marvel respectively.
