‘Deadline sequence shot’: zombie horror acclaimed to win French remake

According to Bloody Disgusting, the critically acclaimed zombie horror “One Cut of the Dead” will win a French remake titled “Final Cut”.

Filming is currently taking place on the outskirts of Paris.

The cast of the new version will include Romain Duris, Bérénice Bejo, Grégory Gadebois, Finnegan Oldfield, Matilda Lutz, Sébastian Chassagne and Raphaël Quenard, Jean-Pascal Zadi, Lyes Salem, Simone Hazanavicius and Luana Bajrami.

The original feature film had a budget of just $ 25,000, with its story told in an ongoing filming plan.

Terror conquered critics, reaching an impressive 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. By general consensus, the film is clever and bloody, managing to revive the zombie genre with a refreshing mix of daring and satire.

Directed by Shin’ichirô Ueda, the original film was a hit in theaters, raising over $ 30 million worldwide.
