‘Demon Slayer’ passes ‘Spirited Away’, becomes biggest box office in anime history

Success! The animation ‘Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train’ surpassed the collection of ‘Spirited Away’ and became the biggest worldwide box office in HISTORY for an anime.

“Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train” has topped $ 400 million at the global box office.

The film had already broken a Japanese box office record, becoming the largest collection in the country’s history, even ahead of “Titanic” – which grossed $ 251 million.

The film is directed by Haruo Sotozaki.

Enmu is tasked with killing Tanjirou Kamado in order to recover his position. Tanjirou, Zenitsu, and Inosuke buy tickets for the Infinity Train in search of Rengoku, the Pillar of Flame.

The cast includes the voices of Abby Trott, Bryce Papenbrook, Zach Aguilar, Natsuki Hanae and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka.
