According to Deadline, FOX Entertainment is developing an animated series based on the classic board game ‘Clue’ (Detective, Brazil).
Production details have not been released, but it will incorporate the exciting and suspenseful dynamics that made the game a global sensation for more than seven decades.
Entertainment One and Bento Box Entertainment will also be responsible for producing the series.
“‘Colonel Mustard … to the conversation … with a hint’. Just hearing these iconic phrases, you immediately know what it is, which leaves no doubt that ‘Clue’ is one of the most popular games of all time, “said Michael Thorn, president of Fox Entertainment.” We couldn’t be more excited to develop an animated series adaptation alongside eOne and Bento Box.
“Clue” was created in 1943, by Anthony E. Pratt. The game was first adapted in 1985, into a movie starring Tim Curry, and then into a 2011 miniseries.
