‘Dexter’: season 9 receives new details, filming start date

The 9th season of ‘Dexter’ is taking shape and new details have been released. According to The Illuminerdi, filming for the production is slated to begin in January 2020 and new characters will be introduced to the plot.

According to the post, Showtime would cite veteran John Cusack to live up to a new adversary for the eponymous killer. The character corresponds to “a 50 year old man named Kurt”.

According to the description, Kurt will have an extended arc over the course of the 10 episodes and is a trucker from the Northeastern United States, who has a truck stop in town. The man has managed to establish himself as a “ beloved community leader ”, but protects the secrets of his son Matthew, who created “ a lot of confusion ”, to the point that his father had to use his fortune to clean up his mess.

It’s worth remembering that the plot will take place ten years after the events of Season 8 and will not take place in Miami, where most of the series took place.

Check out the synopsis published by The Hollywood Reporter:

Enjoy watching:

“Ten years after Dexter Morgan’s disappearance in Hurricane Laura, the new episodes will accompany the character living under a new identity … Far From Miami.”

Marcos Siega will return to direct six of the ten episodes. For those who don’t know, he had already directed nine episodes in previous seasons.

The rebirth of ‘Dexter’ is set to debut in 2021.

Clyde Phillips, executive producer of the original series, will be the showrunner of the rebirth.

“Dexter” ran for eight seasons, ending its plot in what is considered, until today, “one of the worst series finals of all time.” Will the revival help cleanse the image of the series and correct the mistakes of its outcome?

Remember, all eight seasons of the original series are available on Amazon Prime.
