WandaVision debuts tomorrow on Disney + around the world with a double episode that promises to introduce the show’s bizarre and make fans – not fans – eager to see how the show plays out. If you’re not really into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but want to see the series without having to watch all 23 films in the studio, here is our recommendation for you to check out the Legends series, also available on Disney +, which sums it up. Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Visão (Paul Bettany) until they reach the show itself. For those who are already familiar with the main duo and already want to know a little more about the new characters already confirmed in production, we recommend that you read this article.

Wanda Maximoff

Having made her MCU debut in the 2015 movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, Wanda is the twin sister of the late Pietro Maximoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). The two had their family killed by a Stark Industries missile and, motivated by revenge, ended up joining the evil robot, Ultron (James Spader). The twins were affected by a HYDRA experiment that “enhanced” their DNA with one of the Infinity Stones. Pietro was very quick, while Wanda had the ability to manipulate things with her mind. As the MCU progressed, Wanda’s powers increased, even allowing her to fly. In the comics, she is able to change reality with her skills. So, for the first time in the Marvel Extended Universe, we’ll likely see the young lady reach her full potential and mess things up a bit.

Another who debuted in The Age of Ultron, Vision was created during a clash between Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Ultron. Joining the JARVIS Artificial Intelligence with the Jewel of Mind and part of Ultron’s consciousness, Visão joined the Avengers and quickly became one of the weirdest characters on the team. With the ability to change his density, fly, have a Vibranium body, and shoot Lightning with the jewel on his forehead, Vision has proven to be one of the most powerful heroes. However, he was killed by Thanos (Josh Brolin) at the end of Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and barely mentioned himself in Avengers: Endgame (2019). So, appearing alive on WandaVision is one of the mysteries to be solved in the series.

Enjoy watching:

Monica rambeau

Played by Teyonah Parris, Monica Rambeau is no newcomer to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her first appearance was in Captain Marvel (2019), which made the character an ordinary child of the 1990s, daughter of the Captain’s best friend, Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch). In the series, she will be an adult and work at a secret agency, which many believe to be SWORD, which has previously appeared in the MCU in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019). Another interesting detail to note is that Monica, in the comics, was a Captain Marvel, but currently goes by the name Photon, which was no coincidence the nickname recorded on her mother’s plane, Maria, in the Captain Marvel movie.

Little Monica made her debut in Captain Marvel (2019).

Agnes

Played by Kathryn Hahn, Agnes is one of the great mysteries of the series. A recurring character who seems to have some relevance, Agnes had nothing publicized, other than being a chatty and curious classic neighbor, involved in Wanda and Visão. Fans, however, are already discussing the theory that she is Agatha Harkness, Wanda’s magical mentor in the comics. Agatha is a witch who plays an important role in the process of generating and caring for Wanda’s children in the comics. So if the theory is confirmed, would she be a villain? We will have to find out.

Agent Jimmy Woo

Played by Randall Park, Agent Jimmy Woo made his MCU debut in 2018, in the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp. He was tasked with monitoring (or trying to) enforce the house arrest of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), which shows that he already has experience with superheroes. In the series, Asian Jim apparently returns to work with Monica Rambeau to investigate the oddities surrounding the Vision family home.

Darcy lewis

Certainly present in the first two films of Thor, the intern Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) has also confirmed her return for the series. She’s been through several confusions involving space and Asgard’s magic, so she may be involved in possible plagues that Wanda might experience throughout the series.

Evan peters

Still without a confirmed role, actor Evan Peters is part of the cast of WandaVision. It attracts attention because Pietro Maximoff the Mercury lived in the X-Men movies. While some fans believe he will live the demon Mephisto, rumors suggest he could reprise the role of Pietro, but now in the MCU. Replacement of Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the multiverse.

Gemini

A key part of the heroine’s mythology, twins Thomas and Billy – who would later become Celere and Wiccano, members of the Young Avengers – appeared in the series’ trailers. Whether they’re going to cause the issue that happened in the comics we can’t say yet, but their presence in the disclosure already indicates that it’s very likely that we’ll see Wanda go through a rough patch and that a possible adaptation of the Young Avengers is coming.

WandaVision opens January 15, 2021.
