For those who are not familiar, there are a variety of different versions of Cara de Barro. But the original version premiered in 1940 and appeared in Detective Comics # 40.

In the plot, Basil Karlo was a disgruntled actor who became the Clay Dude inspired by a character he played in a movie, so he wears a mask to kill those who laughed at his failure.

Over the years, other characters have taken on the name and new versions of the villain have been updated as a mud monster capable of altering his body density and appearance, and can disguise himself as an ordinary human.

Recalling that Flanagan’s most recent work was in the series “The Curse of Bly Mansion”.

The plot is told by a cleaning lady tasked with looking after a spooky mansion, where two orphans will be invited during a time that will traumatize their lives.
