New news from The Direct suggests that the upcoming ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ could include a very interesting character in the plot: Rintrah.

The character, who would be played by Adam Hugill, is an interdimensional minotaur who has similar abilities to Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).

Rintrah first appeared in Doctor Strange # 80, as he and his master, Enitharmon – a dinosaur-like wizard – were on a mission to mend a tear in the levitating cloak used by the hero.

In a recent New York Film Academy appearance, Marvel President Kevin Feige made it clear that the production will feature spooky footage similar to films directed or produced by legendary Steven Spielberg:

“Multiverso da Madcura” is the best title we have thought of so far, inclusive, which already excites us. But I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a horror movie… It’s going to be a great MCU movie with some horror footage ”.

Check out what we can expect from the sequel below:

The multiverse is a concept widely used in comics that allows multiple versions of Marvel characters to exist and experience their own stories. Several realities coexist in the thin line of the universe. Marvel played a prank on the audience by saying that Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) would be a character from another dimension [SPOILER], but we saw that it was just another of his illusions [SPOILER]. The point is that the multiverse has been commented on since Phase 2, when Doctor Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgård) slate showed several Easter Eggs, such as the Multiverse, Convergence, and Universe 616, in Thor: The Dark World (2013). The Quantum Realm itself, from virtually every movie involving Ant-Man, seems to fit into the concept of the multiverse. Finally, Doctor Strange himself was already involved in this concept in his original film. It was only a matter of time before it became the subject of a movie.

With the death of the Ancient One, Doctor Strange became the Supreme Magician. Grand head of the Order of Magi and guardian of our reality against interdimensional threats. But he already wore this title in 2016. Since then, it’s been 3 years, during which we only saw him as a secondary character in the Avengers movies. His movie 2 is the chance we have to see him to his full potential, focusing on his new magical abilities and special powers.

If he’s ever been cool to watch him multiply or throw Thanos against the mirror dimension, imagine what he can do in realities where time and space operate differently. It has gigantic visual potential. Thinking of the possibilities and imagining the spells he will use is part of the pre-movie fun.

Additionally, the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) will be in the movie. In other words, it is very likely that he will serve as a mentor to the favorite witch of the Marvetes. It’s a function consistent with the character’s relevance, but one that has yet to be seen in theaters.

We’ve been following Wanda’s development since The Avengers: The Age of Ultron (2015). She has not only evolved as a person, but has also seen her powers increase exponentially over the years. No wonder she almost crushed Thanos (Josh Brolin) in Ultimato. From “bizarre” to Manipulator of Jewels of Infinity, the Scarlet Witch comes closer and closer to her potential in comics, where she is able to control the probability of events. And with the WandaVision series this will directly influence the direction of this film, she / her powers are expected to be a fundamental part of the plot. I dare say we might even have our first contact with the Mutants in this movie

Originally slated to be the villain of the first Doctor Strange film, Nightmare is an interdimensional demon whose strength comes from fears of the human mind aroused during sleep.

Leader of the so-called Dimension of Dreams, the Nightmare doesn’t have a defined gender, but it usually takes the form of a man dressed in green and older in appearance. It feeds on the energy that people release when they are afraid while sleeping. His powers depend on this energy, which is why he has already been involved in several battles against Doctor Strange.

Extremely powerful, he prefers to tackle people with psychological issues or traumas in the past, as they are easier to suck in fear and pain. Even unlike most villains, this demon’s powers do not directly affect the rival’s physical body. The Nightmare has the ability to transport the Astral Body – the one the Elder (Tilda Swinton) stirred so much during her MCU appearances – to the Dream Dimension, where it brings the person’s mind to life its greatest. fears and trauma, and can crazy. Since fear is inherent in human beings, the nightmare is virtually immortal.

In the comics, he was the first villain to face Doctor Strange. In theaters, actress Eva Green is invited to bring the demon to life.

Marvel is looking to make films of several different genres that feature super powerful characters. There was a bank robbery movie, a war movie, comedy, a space opera, a romantic comedy, a teenager and now … terror. At least, that’s what CEO Kevin Feige said at San Diego Comic Con. It should be remembered that the first Doctor Strange (2016) already had this proposal to be attracted to terror. Only now, with the resounding success of virtually every franchise, is he able to dare and even make the first 100% Marvel horror film.

And let’s face it, this is the perfect project for it. The interdimensional journey through the madness of the Multiverse has everything to offer frightening scenes. Additionally, the main villain of the sequence has the main characteristic of hallucinating his victims with terrifying and endless nightmares. Moreover, the director, Scott Derrickson, has made a name for himself in the genre of exorcisms and evil spirits. This is a great opportunity to scare the public.
