Scientists from the Association of Astronomers of New Caledonia posted on Facebook the video of a mysterious spiral of light appearing in the sky of the Pacific Ocean and which intrigued the Internet.
Recorded in the skies of countries and archipelagos in Oceania, such as New Caledonia, Tokelau, Samoa and Fiji, the phenomenon has been compared to the powers of Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).
This is because the spiral is similar to the dimensional portals summoned by the wizard in the Marvel movies.
However, international scientists have identified the spiral of light as an effect of the liftoff of the Chinese Long March 2C rocket.
Part of the post highlights the following:
“Update June 20 at 6:00 pm: After discussions with Jonathan McDowell, who is one of the best if not the best specialist in orbital maneuvers and launches in the world, we have confirmation that the spiral phenomenon observed on May 7 at 5:30 pm has the same original type as the one seen on June 18 at around 6 p.m. Indeed, in both cases, less than half an hour earlier, a Long March 2C rocket was launched from the same location with the same parameters (an orbit inclination of 34 ° with a launch direction to the south- is according to Joseph Remis, another expert on the subject). Therefore, it was also degassing, as explained below. It is possible that in the future we will have the same show again, as long as it is done in the same lighting conditions, at dawn or at dusk.
Remember that “Doctor Tin 2” is directed by Sam Raimi (“Drag me to Hell”) and will be presented in preview on March 25, 2022.
“After the events of Avengers: Ultimatum, Dr. Strange continues his research on the Time Stone. But an old friend who has become an enemy puts an end to his plans and causes Strange to unleash unspeakable evil.
Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen star in the sequel, which also features the return of Chiwetel Ejiofor and Rachel McAdams.
