‘Don’t Look Up’: Mark Rylance and Michael Chiklis Join Cast for New Netflix Movie

Deadline has confirmed that the cast of ‘Don’t Look Up’, a new sci-fi satire directed by Adam McKay (‘The Big Bet’), has won two more members.

Oscar winner Mark Rylance and Emmy winner Michael Chiklis have joined a stellar cast with Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Chris Evans, Cate Blanchett, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry, Himesh Patel, Tomer Sisley and Rob Morgan.

Details of their roles were not disclosed.

The film is described as a sci-fi satire that revolves around two astronomers who embark on a media tour to warn humans that an asteroid is approaching and will destroy the planet.

The narrative will also explore topics such as systemic idiocy, inefficiency, and corruption.

McKay is no stranger to large-scale productions, as he directed the incredible “ The Big Bet ” (winning five Oscar nominations, including Best Picture) and “ Vice, ” which won the statuette of the best makeup and hair at home.
