Dr. Octopus and Electro are back! What else do we want to see in ‘Spider-Man 3’?

Spider-Man 3 hits theaters at the end of 2021, but has long been causing fan anxiety. That’s because some vehicles have reported the rumor that Marvel is planning to adapt Spider-Man for theaters and even staged appearances for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield for the feature film.

Of course, it’s all just a rumor, but they were improved last week when a video posted by the Sony channel on YouTube confirmed the participation of all three Spider-Men in one movie … and the video. was quickly removed, indicating that the mega-event may even happen in Spider-Man 3.

Today Alfred Molina has confirmed his return as Dr Octopus!

With this climate of speculation in the air, CinePOP decided to select elements that we would like to see in this third film. Check out!

There is no way. The saga that involved different versions of Spider-Man came out a few years ago in the comics and became an instant phenomenon. With the animated film also becoming a critical and box office success, nothing more makes sense than asking fans for a live-action version with the three Cabeças de Teia that cinema had in the 21st century. While not unanimous among fans, each rendition of the hero managed to bring identifiable versions that wowed fans of the Wall Climber. To have Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland sharing a screen with their respective Spider-Men would be a dream come true for a lot of people – and that would be cool as hell.

Miles Morales

Another version much loved by fans is Miles Morales, who arrived in the comics eight years ago but already has a captive chair in the Marvel Universe. Bringing Miles into this movie would be a way to expand spider mythology to the big screen and introduce a character with a lot of growth potential into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Sinister sextet

Actor Alfred Molina, who played Doctor Octopus in the Sam Raimi trilogy, has also seen his return confirmed in the new film. Molina had been spotted roaming the MCU Spider Part 3 film sets, and the rumors of her return proved true. “Ah, but he redeemed himself and died at the end of the movie.” That’s right, but a post-credit scene that’s part of the movie’s bonus shows him surviving the events of Movie 2, not to mention that he could end up being the cause, even unintentionally, of this dimension clash. With Jamie Foxx casting to revive Electro, a character he played in the second film in the Marc Webb franchise, there are already two members of the Sinister Sextet existing in two different universes. Besides them, as the Morbius trailer shows, the Vulture (Michael Keaton) appears to be bringing the team of Villains together, with the exception of Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) who is on the loose after forging his own death. What better threat to three (or four) Spider-Men than an Interdimensional Sinister Sextet?

Uncle ben

One of the biggest mysteries of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is the appearance of MCU’s Uncle Ben. It is quoted here and there, but it has never been shown. With the father figure of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) very much present in Peter’s life, it turned out that Uncle Ben was a bit out of this universe. However, there is a fan theory that would be very interesting to realize. The theory is that Marvel would keep Uncle Ben’s appearance a mystery because, in the MCU, he would be played by none other than Tobey Maguire, the first Spider-Man in theaters of the 21st century. As well as being a great reference, fans say it would be revealed as the spiders met, causing Peter (Tom Holland) to cry towards Peter (Tobey Maguire), referring to him in disbelief as if he was the late uncle. Is it sticky? THIS IS. Is it incredible? As well. So make it happen!

Doctor Strange

Another presence that is already confirmed in the film is Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). And if this Aranhaverso happens, it will probably be because of his involvement. But his presence doesn’t need to be reduced to the portals guy alone. It’s worth remembering that the Hero 2 movie will be released soon and will be directed by none other than Sam Raimi, the director of the original Spider-Man trilogy. More than that: it is worth remembering a dialogue in Spider-Man 2 (2004), in which JJ Jameson (JK Simmons) thinks of a name to give to Doctor Octopus, when he receives the indication of call him “Doctor Strange”. The editor-in-chief of Clarim Diário says that “the name is good, but it already exists”. It would be amazing to see the Master of the Mystic Arts interacting with the universe of Sam Raimi Spider and vice versa. Keep Tobey Maguire at Doctor Strange 2. The sky’s the limit!

Honorable mention

One of the most beloved characters in the Marc Webb Spider franchise was Emma Stone’s Gwen Stacy. She had charisma, attitude and was intelligent. They might ask her to tip like Gwen-Aranha, who lives in a universe where she was bitten by the radioactive spider and couldn’t prevent the death of Peter Parker. That would be a good way to invest in a more dramatic part of the heroes, which could be done by also showing how Peter’s personal life from the original trilogy turned out. Did he marry Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst)? Did they have a daughter? Has Aunt May (Rosemary Harris) Discovered The Secret Identity? Either way, there are plenty of possibilities.
