“Em Rhythm of Escape” director releases list of over 300 movies he watched in 2021; To verify!

On his Twitter profile, director Edgar Wright (“Baby Driver – On the Run”) posted an interesting list of the 330 films he watched in 2021.

Titles include classic movies, thrillers, dramas, science fiction, and biopics.

Some are well known to the public, like the recent “Don’t Look Up”, “Dune” from 1984 and “Blood Detachment”, one of the last films of Chadwick Boseman (“Black Panther”).

Wright also showed that he had no prejudices against blockbusters and listed “Godzilla vs Kong” and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”.

He even joked that he won’t be able to watch 35 more movies in the last hours of the year.

“I tried to watch one movie every day of the year and lost 35. But, I was pretty much doing a non-stop press tour for two of my movies, so forgive me. Anyway, here are 330 movies that I saw in 2021. (* indicates the first time it was watched / Bold and the underline indicates seen in theaters).

Remember that Wright’s most recent film is the thriller “Last Night in Soho”, starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Thomasin McKenzie.

In addition to directing, Edgar Wright also writes the screenplay alongside Krysty Wilson-Cairns (“Penny Dreadful”).

The plot follows the story of a young girl who is mysteriously able to travel through time to the 1960s, where she meets her idol, a dazzled aspiring singer. However, the London of the 1960s is not what it seems, and time seems to crumble with dire consequences …

The cast includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Matt Smith, Synnøve Karlsen, Diana Rigg, Terence Stamp and Rita Tushingham.
