Emma Stone wants villainous Ursula-centric live-action

Variety interviewed the cast of “Cruella” and asked which iconic Disney villain they would like to play in their own live-action. Actress Emma Stone replied that she would like to see a movie centered on the villainous Ursula from “The Little Mermaid”.

“She’s an octopus and we could see the world she lives in, what her parents were like and what happened in her past. We’ve never seen a Disney villain who wasn’t actually a human being exploited in this way, ”the actress said.

Kirby Howell-Baptiste added, “I really need to know how Ursula came to be like this. Like, why is she so mean? ‘Cruella’, the new live-action film presents the story of the legendary and most iconic – and notoriously fashionable – Disney villain Cruella de Vil. Craig Gillespie, from the remake of ‘The Hour of Amazement’, takes over from a script by Tony McNamara (‘The Favorite’).
