‘Euphoria’ special episode airs early on HBO Max

According to TVLine, the first special episode of “Euphoria,” which will focus on Rue (Zendaya), will have an early release on HBO Max.

The episode will arrive on the streaming service on December 4, two days before the official television debut.

Zendaya made history at the last Emmy 2020 when she became the youngest actress to win the award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her performance on the series – and the second black actress to win that feat at the alongside Viola Davis.

Created by Levinson, the series is based on the namesake Israeli production launched in 2012.

The plot is shrouded in drugs, sex, identity search, trauma, social media, love, and relationships. All these themes will be reported through the eyes of Rue (Zendaya), a 17 year old drug addict and liar.

The cast includes Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, Jacob Elordi, Algee Smith, Alexa Demie, Barbie Ferreira, Hunter Schafer and Storm Reid.
