Famke Janssen to star in ‘Knights of the Zodiac’ live-action

“Knights of the Zodiac” will win a live action film spoken in English and produced by Toei Animation, which already has its protagonist.

Famke Janssen, Jean Gray of “X-Men”, revealed to Forbes that he will play one of the protagonists of the film.

The film received the official title “Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya”.

The Knights of the Zodiac is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada. It was originally released from 1986 to 1990 and adapted for anime by Toei Animation from 1986 to 1989.

The series tells the story of mystical warriors called “knights”, who fight wearing sacred “armor” based on the different constellations. The Knights are tasked with defending the reincarnation of the Greek goddess Athena in her battle against other Olympian gods, or against other mythologies that claim to dominate Earth.
