Film starring Gal Gadot and Armie Hammer could premiere CANCELED after cannibalism and rape controversy

After several controversies involving Armie Hammer, Disney has postponed until 2022 the release of ‘Death on the Nile’, an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s book which will follow the film ‘Murder on the Orient Express’.

However, the film may be canceled upon its theatrical release.

In an interview with Variety, director Kenneth Branagh revealed that the exit is uncertain due to the controversial allegations against Hammer.

“What is happening is a personal and private matter that I am not aware of and which I think goes through a process that must be respected. These very serious issues are taken seriously. It’s a really fun movie, with a lot of hard work from the people involved. Many Agatha Christie fans want to see it. Many Hercule Poirot fans want to see him. I hope the day will come when it will be released, “he said.

Hammer stars in the production alongside Gal Gadot.

The actor was recently charged with cannibalism and is under investigation for rape. The most recent allegation was made by a young woman named Effie, who claimed the actor raped her for more than four hours.

Additionally, Hammer was abandoned by his agency WME and was “forced to give up” on all of his upcoming projects.

Kenneth Branagh returns as Detective Hercule Poirot, and Tom Bateman also returns as Goat.

While on vacation in Egypt, Hercule Poirot must investigate the murder of a young heiress, a crime that took place on board a ship on the Nile. One crime, several suspects. A stunning, luxurious look with a lot of mystery that arouses curiosity. You’ve never seen a crime like this.

Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Rose Leslie, Emma Mackey, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders and Letitia Wright complete the cast.

Michael Green, who was responsible for the adaptation of ‘Expresso no Oriente’, returns as screenwriter.

“Death on the Nile” was published in 1937, just three years after “Murder on the Orient Express”.

Agatha Christie’s work was adapted for theaters in 1978, but failed at the box office, earning just $ 14 million. The adaptation, however, won an Oscar for best costume design.
