‘First Kill’: Netflix vampire series produced by Emma Roberts hires director

According to Deadline, Jet Wilkinson (“ How To Get Away With Murder ”) was hired to direct the first two episodes of “ First Kill, ” Netflix’s new vampire series.

In the plot …

When the time comes for teenage vampire Juliette (Sarah Catherine Hook) to kill for the first time so that she can earn her place in a family of powerful vampires, she sets eyes on a new town girl, Calliope (Imani Lewis). But, to Juliet’s surprise, Calliope is a vampire hunter, from a renowned hunter family.

Produced by Emma Roberts (“Scream Queens”), the series is based on a short story written by Victoria “VE” Schwab.

Eight episodes have been ordered for the first season.

Felicia D. Henderson (“The Quad”) will be the showrunner.
