Deadline previously reported that Hugh Grant and Josh Hartnett were the most recent additions to the cast.
This is Grant’s second time working with the director, following the entertaining “Crime Tycoons,” as it marks Hartnett’s first collaboration with the director.
As of now, there are still no details on the characters in the duo.
Recalling that Statham will bring protagonist Orson Fortune to life, an MI6 agent who is recruited by the Five Eyes global intelligence alliance to find and prevent the sale of deadly war technology that threatens to dismantle the world order.
Reluctantly working with CIA expert Sarah Fidel (Plaza), Fortune sets out on a mission across the world to find a billionaire and infiltrate his inner circle.
Ritchie is directing the production from a script signed by Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davis. Atkinson is also a producer alongside Bill Block.
STXfilms will be responsible for the global distribution of the feature film, launching the project for international buyers at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival.
