In a special interview with The Hollywood Reporter, iconic Emmy and SAG award-winning actress Jennifer Aniston commented on various phases of her career and took the opportunity to say a little more about the recent special “Friends “on HBO Max.

When asked what it was like to be back on the set of the classic sitcom and the fact that she said filming was more difficult than she thought, she replied:

“I think we were naive going up to this and thinking, ‘Is this going to be cool? They are remounting the sets, as before. And then you get there and you’re like, “Oh, okay, I hadn’t thought about what happened the last time I was here. And it took me by surprise, because I kept thinking, “hello past, do you remember me?” Do you remember how horrible it was? You thought that everything was in front of you and that life would be good, but have you been through the most difficult time of your life? ‘

She continues: “It was very shocking and of course you have cameras everywhere and I’m already emotionally inaccessible, you can tell – so I had to leave at times. I don’t know how they managed to cut this part.

Aniston also explained why the cast had changed their minds about the reunion, as several of them showed resistance to making the special:

” Go in [o diretor] Ben Winston. We thought: ‘I don’t know if we were won over by his talent or his charm or if it was a mixture of everything. Even the boys were like, ‘Damn, I’m in love with this guy. Like, I don’t know if I said yes because he’s good or because he’s good looking. Either way, we all said yes.

Even with the issues she encountered, the actress commented that the outcome was positive and it reminded the cast of the original series and how everyone’s chemistry worked so well.

“We had a lot of fun together. I remember that was one of the things when we were younger and dumb and during renegotiations one of the threats from the studio was, “Well, we don’t need the six.” We can do it with four of you. And we said to ourselves: ‘what? You can? Can they get rid of Rachel or Joey or whoever? ‘ And then we realized: ‘no, they can’t, wake up’ ”.

Recalling that the special is available on HBO Max and has brought in several special guests such as David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevinge, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon and Malala Yousafzai.
