‘Ghostbusters: More Beyond’: director of original cried with pride at new movie

Ivan Reitman reshaped ghost mythology when he made the first Ghostbusters movie in 1984, calling on the iconic team of parapiscologists formed by Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd.

And now, his legacy will continue through his son, Jason, director of “ Ghostbusters: Beyond, ” which opens June 11, 2021.

During an interview with Empire, Jason revealed that his father watched the movie and even cried with pride.

“My dad hasn’t left home much because of the coronavirus pandemic. But he auditioned, put on a mask, and went to the Sony studio to watch the movie. Then he cried and said, “I’m so proud to be your father. It was one of the greatest moments of my life.

Recalling that the magazine released a new image of the feature film, highlighting the characters of Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace and Logan Kim.

In addition to directing, Jason also helped write the screenplay in partnership with Gil Kenan (‘Poltergeist’ – 2015).

In the plot, a single mother and her two children arrive in a small town and begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters, in addition to the secret legacy her grandfather left behind.

In addition to Finn Wolfhard (‘It: The Thing’), Mckenna Grace (‘The Curse of the Hill Residence’) and Carrie Coon (‘The Sinner’) Paul Rudd (‘Avengers: Endgame’), the cast also have the back Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Annie Potts and Sigourney Weaver.
