Originally slated to open in November of this year, the film has been postponed until May 21, 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Legendary and Warner Bros. launched MonsterVerse in 2014 with “Godzilla”, which paved the way for “Kong: Skull Island”. The most recent film was the sequel “Godzilla: King of the Monsters,” which did not appeal to critics and had a disappointing run at the box office.
Read the synopsis:
“Legends collide when Godzilla and Kong, the two most powerful forces in nature, clash in a spectacular battle that will go down in history! Monster Wars spread to the surface and reach the center of our world as the incredible secret of this titanic realm known as The Empty Land is revealed ”.
“Godzilla vs. Kong” will have a low age indication, being recommended for those over 14 (PG-13). The trait was classified as “intense sequences of violence / destruction between creatures and light language”.
The cast includes Millie Bobby Brown, Julian Dennison, Rebecca Hall, Eiza Gonzalez, Brian Tyree Henry, Alexander Skarsgård, Jessica Henwick and Demian Bichir in the cast.
