‘Gossip Girl’: reboot becomes biggest premiere in HBO Max history

The reboot of “Gossip Girl” is a success! According to HBO Max, the new version of the series recorded the streaming service’s BIGGEST debut, surpassing the number of “The Flight Attendant,” which previously held the record.

The first episode saw the most views of an original HBO Max production in the first 24 hours. In addition, the streaming service said that most new subscribers to the streaming service have chosen “Gossip Girl” as their first choice, which shows great interest from subscribers in the production.

Recall that the first episode was also released on the CW, where it was watched by nearly 300,000 viewers.

The series was created by Joshua Safran, Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz.

Gossip Girl returns as the main source of the scandalous life of the New York elite. A new generation of Upper East Siders is the blogger’s target, exposing their scandals, angst and gossip in the new age of social media.

The cast includes Whitney Peak, Savannah Smith, Eli Brown, Johnathan Fernandez, Emily Alyn Lind, Jason Gotay, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Adam Chanler-Berat and Zion Moreno.
