According to Deadline, the CW has decided to cancel production of “Green Arrow and the Canaries” even before the premiere.

The spinoff series of ‘Arrow’ won its pilot episode in the 8th season of Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) journey and drew nearly 900,000 viewers.

Regardless, the broadcaster approved the cancellation due to several delays postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

If continued, the series would set around 2040 and would star Mia Queen (Katherine McNamara) as Green Arrow, and the Black Canaries as Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) and Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy).

So far, it’s unclear if the characters will be remade for other CWVerse series or if they were last seen in the ‘Arrow’ result.
