Gunpowder Milkshake: Action Movie starring Karen Gillan to be released on Netflix

According to Deadline, Netflix has acquired the rights to the action thriller “ Gunpowder Milkshake, ” which will be released during the summer – which runs from June through August.

Additionally, the website confirmed that a sequel is already in development.

The film is directed by Navot Papushado, who also signs the screenplay alongside Ehud Lavski.

“Sam (Gillan) was only 12 years old when his mother Scarlet (Headey), an elite assassin, was forced to abandon him. Sam was created by Firma, a cruel crime syndicate his mother worked for. Now, 15 years later, Sam has followed in his mother’s footsteps and has become a fierce killer. She uses her “talents” to clean up the most dangerous messes in the business. It is as efficient as it is faithful.

But when a high-risk job goes awry, Sam must choose between serving the company and protecting the life of innocent 8-year-old Emily (Coleman). With a target in his back, Sam only has one chance to survive: reunite with his mother and deadly associates: the librarians (Bassett, Yeoh, and Gugino).

Now these three generations of women must learn to trust each other, confront the Cabinet and its army of henchmen, and raise hell against those who can take anything from them.

Karen Gillan (‘Guardians of the Galaxy’) star. The cast also includes Lena Headey, Carla Gugino, Michelle Yeoh, Angela Bassett, Ralph Ineson, Adam Nagaitis, Michael Smiley, Paul Giamatti and Chloe Coleman.
