The “Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts” special is now available on HBO Max, bringing various anecdotes and memories through interviews with the stars of the beloved saga. When protagonist Daniel Radcliffe remembers Alan Rickman, interpreter of Severus Snape, he reveals that the late star was one of the few to know the truth about the loyalty of the mysterious wizard.
In the saga, one of the biggest mysteries was whether Snape was loyal to Albus Dumbledore or if he was still a Death Eater in Voldemort’s service.
The answer came in the latest book, ‘The Deathly Hallows’, and part 2 of the adaptation, released in 2011.
However, Radcliffe revealed that Alan Rickman already knew Snape was a hero early on, possibly since he started playing him.
This is because he asked the creator of the saga, JK Rowling, to tell him the truth so that he could describe the character in the most convincing way possible.
Enjoy watching:
“I know from the start [das adaptações] it happened for her [Rowling] said, ‘Here’s the thing, I think I need to know everything about Snape,’ ”Radcliffe said.
Apparently even Chris Columbus, director of the first two films, didn’t know the truth.
Radcliffe explained that the filmmaker asked Alan Rickman about some aspects of his acting that didn’t fit the character, but Rickman just said:
“You will understand later.
As it is clear, he knew that there were certain attitudes that would make Snape’s end meaningful, something he vowed not to reveal to anyone.
