‘Hawkeye’: rumors suggest Clint Barton will be deaf

The original Disney + series of ‘Gavião Arqueiro’ is expected to bring great novelty straight from comics to television. According to Murphy’s Multiverse, protagonist Clint Barton will lose his hearing throughout the series.

Older fans of the character and who follow the Marvel comics know that this information wouldn’t come as such an unexpected surprise. In several editions of the story “Gavião Arqueiro”, we see the character facing deafness, using a hearing aid.

In the movie version, Clint Barton’s deafness was not part of the character build. But new details from a casting call suggest that change may be underway in her TV series.

According to the publication, the casting call points out that Disney is looking for an actor to play a character who is described as “an audiologist, who works in an old building and who is not registered”.

It should be noted that the information has yet to be confirmed by Disney +, so treat everything as speculation.

According to Discussing Film, Eric Steelberg was hired as cinematographer for the project. His credits include “A Quiet Place”, “My Name is Dolemite” and “Juno”.

According to The Direct, the character of Madame Mask is to appear as a supporting character in the production, taking on the role of the plot villain.

It is not yet clear what the size and scope of the character would be in the narrative or whether she will be the main antagonist, but according to the post, Marvel Studios is already on the hunt for an actress to face the role.

Disney has yet to confirm the information, so treat everything as rumors.

In the comics, Madame Mask once became an occasional love interest in Iron Man, in addition to being her nemesis. The villain is the daughter of Count Nefaria, whose first comic book appearance was in “The Avengers,” issue 13 (February 1965).

Recently, on his official Twitter, artist Andy Park, known for his many works at Marvel Comics, posted the first concept image for the upcoming and problematic Disney + series ‘Hawkeye’.

The outline prints protagonist Kate Bishop in her purple uniform and wielding bow and arrow.

Recently, Amber Finlayson and Katie Ellwood, a female duo known for the acclaimed productions “Bert and Bertie” and “Troop Zero”, were also hired to lead the show.

The production will run under the production title “ Anchor Point, ” which mentions the titular character’s first volume of stories, signed by Kelly Thompson in 2017.

During the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Jeremy Renner shared a spectacular first teaser for the show, which is set to debut in fall 2021.

The show is based on the original comics in which Clint Barton passes superhero responsibility to the next Archer, Kate Bishop. The series, in fact, will focus on training Kate until her full transformation into a heroine, allowing Barton to officially retire.

The adaptation of the comics of “Gavião Arqueiro” will be in a mini-series, in the footsteps of other original Disney + productions. Renner last appeared as the titular character in the epic conclusion ‘Avengers: Endgame’.
