The Starz channel has officially renewed the series ‘Heels’, with Stephen Amell (‘Arrow’) and Alexander Ludwig (‘Vikings’), for season two.
“With praise from critics and fans alike, it’s clear that the stories and characters of the Duffy Wrestling League have won over viewers by presenting a community rarely found on television,” Starz President Jeffrey Hirsch said in a statement. . “I’m delighted that the amazing actors and executive producers are getting back to work in season two.”
The next cycle is not expected to start until 2022.
The series was created by Michael Waldron (‘Loki’).
The plot follows two brothers and rivals – a villain, or “heel”, in the ring; the other, a hero, or “face,” a war promoting her father’s struggle, vying for national attention in the small town of Georgia.
The cast also includes Alison Luff, Chris Bauer, Kelli Berglund, Allen Maldonado and James Harrison.
