Hugh Grant to be villain in ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ film adaptation

According to Deadlin, Hugh Grant will appear in the movie “Dungeons & Dragons” as the main villain.

The charismatic British actor recently rose to prominence in the series ‘The Undoing’ and was chosen by Paramount and eOne to star in the production alongside Sophia Lillis.

Details of Grant and Lillis’ roles were not fully disclosed. The two join an all-star cast that includes Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Judge Smith and ‘Bridgerton’ star Rege-Jean Page.

In addition to the script, the duo Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley will also be responsible for directing the feature film.

In 2000, a theatrical adaptation was launched, massacred by critics and failing at the box office. Years later, the film won two sequences produced directly in video, which are gladly ignored by the general public.

Created by Gary Gygax and Dave Arneson, the original “ Dungeons & Dragons ” was first released in 1974.
